What is Micro Motion Flow Meter?

The micro motion flow meter is a device that directly measures the mass flow by using the principle of coriolis force proportional to the mass flow when the fluid flows in the vibrating pipe. It is composed of a flow detection element and a converter. Micro motion flow meter realizes the direct measurement of mass flow, has the characteristics of high precision, can measure multiple media and multiple process parameters, and is widely used in petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food and other industries.

How Do you Install a Micro Motion Flow Meter?

In order for a micro motion flow meter to function properly, safely and with high performance, it is very important to install and use it correctly. Mechanical installation should pay attention to the following issues:

1. The flow sensor should be installed on a solid foundation. Small bore mass flow meters with an inner diameter of less than 10mm are mounted on a balanced hard and vibration-free bottom surface, such as a wall, floor or specialized foundation. If it is used in 2. high-vibration environment, attention should be paid to the vibration absorption of the foundation, and the connection between the inlet and outlet of the sensor and the pipeline should be connected with a flexible pipe; the larger-diameter flow meter is directly installed on the process pipeline, and the flow meter should be installed with pipe clamps and supports. Firmly fastened.

3. In order to prevent the mutual influence between CMF, when multiple flow meters are used in series or in parallel, the distance between each flow sensor should be far enough, and the pipe clamps and supports should be set on their own independent foundations.

4. In order to ensure that no gas or liquid residual value is accumulated in the flow sensor during use, for elbow-type flow meters, when measuring liquid, the elbow should be downward, and when measuring gas, the elbow should be upward. When measuring slurry or effluent, the sensor should be installed in a vertical pipeline with the flow direction from bottom to top. For straight-tube flow meters, avoid installing on the highest point when installing horizontally to avoid accumulation of air masses. When connecting the sensor and the process pipeline, it must be installed without stress, especially for the flow sensor of some straight measuring tube.
